This standard makes our journeys slower to design. It also makes them impossible to copy.

We deliberately limit the number of journeys we accompany, to preserve the time devoted to each one. This is the price of a house that keeps a human scale — and the only way to remain by your side from the first exchange to your return.
We would rather craft ten journeys like letters than produce a hundred circuits on an assembly line.

A travel agency for Japan with no office in Japan cannot truly understand Japan. We live in Osaka; this is where our habits, our artisans and our friends are.
It is what allows us to find a solution swiftly whenever the unexpected occurs, thanks to our permanent presence on the ground.

has been met in person.
We list no ryokan, no guide, no artisan we have not visited, tested and vetted ourselves — often more than once, across several seasons.
